Privacy Policy
This policy explains the limited information processed when you use YouTube Shorts Downloader, including the resolver, temporary conversion streams, analytics, and operational logs.
Effective and last updated: August 31, 2026Information you provide
When you use a tool, you provide a YouTube video URL. The URL is used to retrieve public metadata and available media formats. We do not ask for a YouTube password or account login.
- YouTube video URLs submitted to the resolver
- Tool and format choices
- Messages you voluntarily send by email
Temporary processing
Resolved metadata and temporary source links are cached in server memory for 120 seconds. Conversion status records, including a random job identifier and transferred-byte count, are held temporarily so the page can show progress, cancellation, and errors.
MP3, WAV, original audio, and combined MP4 outputs are streamed to the browser. Completed media files are not intentionally stored as permanent files on the website server.
Analytics and server logs
Google Analytics is used to understand page visits and tool usage. Google may process device, browser, interaction, and approximate location information according to its own policies.
Web-server logs may include IP address, request time, requested path, response status, referrer, and user agent. Logs are used for security, reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention and may be rotated as part of normal operations.
Sharing and external services
The service contacts YouTube and Google-hosted media or thumbnail endpoints to resolve public content. We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Your choices and contact
You can stop using the service, block analytics through browser controls, and avoid sending optional email messages. Privacy questions can be sent to support@youtubeshortsdownloader.org.
